An example of baby’s first year story finished with cake smash session.
We started with a nice maternity session. Maternity sessions are held around 4-6 weeks before the due date. It all depends on how big your belly is and how comfortable you are with moving around. There are a wide range of photography styles for you to choose from. You could opt for classy and elegant images or take a more arty approach – the choice is yours. Here is a little selection from the Daye family maternity session.
When little Sophia-Belle arrived, we had a beautiful newborn photo session. To ensure that you have the best possible newborn photos, I photograph newborns between the ages of around 5 days up to about 2 weeks. The most crucial part is to know when the little one will arrive. In addition to the star of the show, you can have newborn photos that also include mum, dad and other siblings. Sometimes family pets take part in the sessions as well.
Before we knew it, it was Christmas and little Sophia-Belle was already sitting up on her own. Inspired by the season, we took some lovely snowman photos. You will have the option of various outfits and a mixture of light and dark backgrounds. If the weather allows, the session can even be held outdoors. These sessions are scheduled for when little ones can sit up unattended, at around 6-7 months old.
To finish off Sophia-Belle’s Baby Year, we had a fantastic Cake Smash photo session. You can start off your session with a few simple update photos, just to capture your little one’s development. Then you have the option of taking some baking photos. All you have to bring is some baking utensils and we will provide a chef’s hat and baby apron.
Little ones love the next part, which is when the cake smashing and eating happens. This bit is so much fun! The cake is included in your Baby Year package. We have an amazing baker who creates beautiful cakes for the session.
After all that mess, we have a warm bubbly bath waiting. There will be lots of splashing and fun going on in the room. Do bring your bath toys and don’t forget the towel.
Your Baby Year does not have to end with the Cake Smash session. If you prefer, we can wait for a bit and make it a walking session instead. This would involve a beach/park session when your little one has started standing and walking around. Some clients even decide to wait till their child is 2 years old before having the last session so that there is a more obvious age difference in the photos.
I hope this will give you a good idea of what the Baby Year package is all about. If you think you might be interested, please feel free to contact the studio to arrange a consultation session.
Thank you all for dropping by and do take a look around to see more examples of the newborn and Baby Year photos I offer.
