Hello, my dear friends. Today I will share with you Sophia-Belle’s home newborn photoshoot. Parents wanted this session to look like studio work so I had to do some prep. Normally it would take very candid look photos, but Sophia-Belle’s newborn girl photoshoot had to be more posed.

I can tell you that there were loads of things to pack it up in one car :) My posing bag itself is half of the car. As I tend to create interesting images during these sessions, I need to bring all must things and twice as much for the backup :) Accidents do happen and I’m ready for them.
The advantage for you to do newborn sessions at home is that you don’t leave the house. I have made whole parents guide about home newborn sessions. This particular client had a medical issue and she couldn’t come to my studio. I knew that beforehand. We did a nice maternity session and already then planned to do a newborn session at home.
I love going to clients homes as I get to use their own place to stylise my sessions. It is more relaxing for the family too. The only thing I should mention about house sessions is the light and available space. If it is a small flat, I would not advise you to do a session at home but come to my Edinburgh photo studio. The final result will be much more pleasing.
The session went well and I managed to try rabbit hat as well. Clients had a nice box in the house and I was about to snatch that from them. We decided to use the box to show the milestones throughout the session.
